Community Involvement

Academy roofing is active in the community and is involved with several charitable organizations. We have donated thousands of hours of labor and material for local charitable projects over the past 36 years. Our most recent charitable projects include the following:

Little Flower Assistance Center – Aurora, CO

Based in Aurora, Colorado, the Little Flower Assistance Center provides food, clothing, money management assistance and employment counseling to over 650 needy families each month. Academy Roofing has partnered with the Center since its opening in 2013. Over the years, Academy has provided the Center with food donations and financial assistance. Academy’s most recent charitable contribution to the Center included a brand-new roof, as there were numerous areas with leaks that were beyond repair due to the roof’s age.

While the project proved to have challenges, the outcome was well worth it. Donna Potter, Program Director of the Center, stated, “Most recently, Academy Roofing provided a much-needed face lift to the exterior of the Little Flower Assistance Center by donating both supplies and labor to install a brand-new roof… Academy Roofing has long performed selfless acts within the community and is helping develop a sense of pride in the old neighborhood.” Academy Roofing looks forward to their continued partnership with the Center, along with all future charitable opportunities that arise within the community.

Academy Roofers at the Center

Rose Andom Center – Denver, CO

At the start of 2016, Academy Roofing was presented with the opportunity to be part of a new center that would open later in the year to serve victims of domestic violence. An old Denver public school that had been acquired by the City and County of Denver needed to be refurbished before the Center could be brought to life. Academy Roofing spent 7 months at the Center completing the roof repairs and wall panel installations that were necessary for the Center to be able to open its doors.

The Rose Andom Center opened in the summer of 2016. At the Center, government agencies and community organizations work together under one roof to provide  for the needs of people affected by domestic violence. The Rose Andom Center offers victims crisis intervention, domestic violence counseling, civil legal support, law enforcement services, mental health services, job readiness and job search assistance, and information about the criminal justice system among other crucial services.

Academy Roofing could not have been more honored to have participated in such a special project. Margaret Abrams, Executive Director of the Center, stated, ” Academy Roofing brought a level of leadership and expertise to our project that made all the difference in the world… Our heartfelt appreciation goes to Academy Roofing for its dedication to quality and concern for our community.”
